The Cubby Bear, formally known as Cubs Pub and Cubs Grill, opened in 1953.

In 1988, the Cubby Bear expanded into the entertainment business bringing top name acts to the Wrigleyville location. The Cubby Bear has hosted everything from the hottest local music to the biggest national acts including Dave Matthews Band, No Doubt, Phish, Rusted Root, Johnny Cash, Chuck Berry, B.B. King, De La Soul, Shaggy, Run DMC, the Mighty Blue Kings and the Neville Brothers.

The Cubby Bear in Wrigleyville has expanded over the years to include over 30,000 square feet of space. The Cubby Bear's (Main Room) continues its tradition of meeting and exceeding the entertainment needs of the Chicagoland area, as well as countless visitors from all over the country. (Capacity: 800). As you move through The Cubby Bear you come across one of Wrigleyville's best-kept secrets, the rustic and inviting Cubby Cafe. The Cubby Cafe has become a neighborhood favorite for brunch, lunch and dinner. (Capacity: 300). On the second floor is the newly renovated Wrigley Room and our Upper Deck Private Room, both perfect for corporate meetings and intimate gatherings. (Capacity: 200).

Sports Corner is a neighborhood tavern & grille located on the corner of Addison and Sheffield across from Wrigley Field. Since 1976, Sports Corner has been a staple in the Lakeview (Wrigleyville) community. Sports Corner is Chicago's equivalent to Cheers (the famed bar from Boston). Sports Corner plays host to various private events on its newly renovated second floor. On the second floor, you can enjoy a home-like atmosphere, with many couches, pool tables, dart boards and big screen TV's. During the summer months, Sports Corner features a sidewalk cafe along Sheffield Avenue with a great view of Wrigley Field. Between the specials, the outdoor cafe, the great food and the ambiance, Sports corner always has something going on.

In November 1999, the Cubby Bear Expanded to the suburbs. Lincolnshire was selected as the first location for the expansion of the Cubby Bear sports restaurant/entertainment complex. The Cubby Bear Lincolnshire is located on Milwaukee Avenue between Route 22 and Deerfield Parkway. The Cubby Bear Lincolnshire has 30,000 square feet of space and is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. On weekends, there are live concerts and can accommodate over 1,500 patrons. During the Cubs season, the Cubby Bear Lincolnshire will offer bus transportation, box lunches, game tickets and post-game party at the Wrigleyville location for corporations.
